NEOBION: Healthcare platform for a Luxembourg diagnostics lab

Overview

NEOBION is a medical analysis laboratory in Luxembourg focused on accessible, innovative, and patient-centric diagnostics. Dexis helped shape a digital platform that connects the lab, employers, clinicians, and patients - supporting workplace programmes (including sample collection via PICKEN DOHEEM), expatriate check-ups, preventive care, and on-site nursing for blood draws.

Challenge

NEOBION mobile experience: doctor search, results, and booking flows

Product & services

For businesses, the experience packages occupational health responsibly - tailored services, professional secrecy, and programmes such as workplace sampling and preventive check-ups. For patients, the app concentrates on clarity: results and history, geolocation of open sampling centres with filters (e.g. fertility-focused sites, parking, accessibility), appointment booking at home, work, or another address, discovery of doctors by speciality, and pre-registration with a prescription before collection.

For doctors, workflows include electronic prescriptions aligned with nomenclature rules, booking blood tests for patients, secure access to latest results with emphasis on disturbed or unread items, filtering analyses, comparative graphs and cumulative tables, and PDF export for archiving.

We also scoped a dedicated fertility services module - structured information, pathways, and scheduling - to support sensitive journeys with transparent, approachable UX.

NEOBION: business challenges - decentralised services, performance, content, and integrations

Platform & engineering

The platform is built as a scalable interface between laboratories, professionals, and patients - not only a results server. The stack combined high-performance web surfaces with Flutter mobile clients, DevOps for resilient scaling, and disciplined API boundaries for third parties. UX and content tooling were designed so internal teams could refresh services and locations safely as the network grew.

Outcome

Following a user-centred, agile delivery model, the team addressed priorities such as faster booking, easier access to services, and multilingual needs. The result is a performant, extensible foundation that improves patient experience, supports operations, and reinforces the lab’s position in digital healthcare - while remaining adaptable for future modules and partners.

Launch-ready delivery

We aligned delivery with regulated healthcare expectations: structured QA, observability for peak load, documentation for integrations, and handover that keeps clinical, product, and engineering stakeholders in sync as the roadmap evolves.
