Medical Reminder App - presentation hero: adherence and medication context

Medical Reminder App - adherence & medication schedules

Overview

The client - a psychotherapist focused on young people facing depression, anxiety, compulsive patterns, and addiction - needed a tool to improve medication adherence. Patients often forget doses and lack a clear record of current and past medications. Dexis shaped a simple reminder-first app with dedicated spaces for scheduled reminders and a medications list, including treatments the user has stopped, so conversations with clinicians stay grounded in facts.

Business idea - the client is a psychotherapist treating young people with depression, anxiety, compulsive disorders and addictions, who wanted an app to improve medical adherence Project outcome - Dexis turned user insights into a persona and built an easy-to-use reminder app that alerts users to take their medicines

Experience principles

We prioritised clarity over feature density: the home path surfaces what matters today (next dose, overdue items) and keeps historical medication data reachable without clutter. Language and visuals aim to feel supportive rather than clinical, which matters when users already carry stigma around mental-health treatment.

Delivery framing

The deck walks through problem framing, user journeys, and UI direction in one continuous canvas. The full-width panels in this article are vertical slices of that canvas.

Medications tab and reminders tab - a separate tab lists current and stopped medicines, while reminders show treatment schedules and fire two minutes before each intake Project results - built in Flutter, the pill reminder app runs on iOS and Android with customizable notifications and is already deployed to the stores Tech stack - Android, iOS, Flutter, Firebase and MySQL; country: Sweden, industry: healthcare
